Interstate 90 is scheduled to be closed for controlled rock blasting operations on the following dates:

Monday, June 13, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Tuesday, June 14, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, June 15, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Thursday, June 16, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Crews will stop traffic in both directions from Gold Creek (milepost 56) to Price Creek (milepost 61). Due to the uncertain nature of rock blasting, the blasting closures could last longer and are subject to frequent schedule changes.

Rock blasting is part of the $551 million -I-90 Snoqualmie Pass East Hyak to Keechelus Dam project to widen a five-mile stretch of the highway from four to six lanes and improve reliability and safety. This multi-year project is funded by the 2005 gas tax and is scheduled to be complete in 2016.
