Man Lives in Dog Kennel to Raise Money For Yakima Women’s Shelter
In January of 2020 Brian Harris lost his daughter, Emily after she was killed by her husband at her home in Selah. Ever since the loss Harris has pledged to raise money for the Emily Harris Memorial Foundation. All the funds raised go to the YWCA women's shelter in Yakima.
HARRIS ENTERED THE DOG KENNEL ON SUNDAY
On Sunday Harris entered a large dog kennel and he'll stay there through Wednesday in front of the Brian Harris Used Cars dealership in Selah hoping to raise $50,000. The dealership is located at 622 S. First Street in Selah. He's staying in the cage only leaving to use the bathroom.

Harris hoping you'll stop by this week and donate. Harris and his wife created the Emily Harris Memorial Foundation after the death of thier daughter January 24 of 2020. The husband took his own life.
THE GOAL OF $500,000 COULD BE MET ON WEDNESDAY
So far Harris says they've raised about $450,000 with a goal of $500,000 by Wednesday.
If you donate, Harris will give you a gift. He's giving Packages of licorice, wristbands even clothing and photos of his daughter. Harris says for a $500 donation you'll be given all the gifts. If you donate $1000 you get the gifts and he'll also wash your car. You can learn more about the shelter;
