Man Found Shot Dead; Police Are Investigating

Yakima Police are investigating the latest homicide reported early Friday. Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice says the man in his mid 20's was found in an open area near 5th Avenue and D Street at about 4:00 a.m. Friday morning. Curtice says the man died of a gunshot wound. Curtice says they haven't yet identified the man. An autopsy is set for Tuesday.
Police are investigating. No arrests have been made.
