The Yakima VFW burned last june. It was a huge loss to so many veterans in the Yakima Valley. It was a place to gather for fellowship and special events. On Saturday after a major rebuilding effort the building was reopened to veterans like Leo Wrighthe tells our news partner KIMA Action news it's nice to have the club back to normal. The fire is now in the background and the future is bright for the local VFW 379 and so to is the inside of the building. It's a gathering place complete with a dance floor, kitchen, reading area, and pool hall. More than 300 people will be able to fit into the new building. And it's now turning back into a place where vets gather for friendship and special events.
