Local Realtor in Serious Condition After Being Attacked While Showing a House

Local realtor Vern Holbrook remains in serious condition at a Seattle hospital this morning. Yakima County Sheriff's deputies did not release any new information over the weekend other than to ask the public for help. Detectives say Holbrook was attacked while showing homes in the Cowiche/Tieton area Saturday morning. After he did not show up for later appointments co-workers became concerned and started searching for him. They found him badly injured at a house along the 17000 block of Summitview Avenue. He was rushed to a Yakima hospital then transferred to Harborview where he remains in serious condition this morning. Detectives are no doubt searching for the person or persons responsible.
