Meet Kami! Our CMN Miracle Child of the Month
If Kami looks familiar here in Yakima, that's for good reason. Her photo and posters have been placed in Yakima as she was a local ambassador for a time. Kami is this month's miracle child. Let's find out more about Kami.

Kami is a joyful, roller-skating, dancing 11-year-old with a heart as big as her smile.
She's not only full of energy and love, she is also the best aunt around.
Her bright spirit brings happiness to everyone she meets.
Kami's journey began with challenges even before birth. Diagnosed prenatally with Down Syndrome and an AV canal heart defect, she required close monitoring and specialized care.
after her birth, she spent time at the NICU ant MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital, where her strength surprised everyone. She went home just three days later.
Thanks to the support of Children's Miracle Network services through MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital and Children's Village, Kami received seamless care from infancy onward.
From home health visits to therapy and cardiology checkups, her family found everything they needed right in Yakima.
At just under a year old, Kami underwent open-heart surgery, and her recovery was supported locally with physical and occupational therapy to help her build strength and reach milestones like taking her first steps at age 2.
Kami is strong, loving, and fiercely independent.
Her sensitivity to others and joyful personality show the true meaning of unconditional love.
Her family is deeply grateful for the care and resources available in their community, which have helped Kami thrive every step of the way.
It's always great to hear stories like Kami. We have more CMN Miracle Family of the Month as well you can catch up on.
Services through Yakima's Memorial Foundation and Children's Miracle Network can ensure our children and their families can get the help and services they need. Find out more at the memfound.org.
