With all of the restaurant and store closings in Yakima, it has many on-edge on what's going to happen next.

Is your favorite shop the next to go?

Well, the bad news is there's a place in Yakima that's set to close its doors soon.

The good news is the reason as it's relocating to a different building in Yakima.

Joy Garden is moving

When you walk into Joy Garden you're not only greeting with so many amazing scents but a sign explaining that the long-running Tieton location will be closing soon and relocating to Fruitvale Blvd.

Joy Garden's Opening Date

Joy Garden will be reopen on June 9th at their new location at 3710 Fruitvale Blvd.

You can expect the same great menu items in a larger, dedicated building.

The 3710 Fruitvale building was home to one of the New York Teriyaki locations. Soon it will be Joy Garden.

Is Fruitvale turning into the new food district of Yakima?

That area of 40th and Fruitvale already has Denny's and we just learned that JJ's Cocina and Bar is going into the old Shari's location. All in proximity you'll have Asian, Mexican, and Americana food options. Very handy! Especially for travelers heading towards Naches or Highway 12 looking to grab a quick bite in Yakima and can take that 40th ave. exit.

I didn't ask if Joy Garden's new location would have new menu items or continue their ability to cook at the table directly. I'll find out when I visit on June 9th.
