A free community event sponsored by Yakima Neighborhood Health Services during National Community Health Center Week (August 7-13) - returns this year, providing health screenings, immunizations, WIC nutrition information, on-site eligibility assistance, information about community services and more.

The 10th annual street fair takes place Wednesday, August 10 in the parking lot of the Yakima Neighborhood Health Services downtown Yakima campus, 12th South 8th Street, 1-4 pm.

YNHS professional staff and community partners will provide information on positive health and fitness changes that families can easily make, along with fun and healthy activities for children. Among participating organizations are Catholic Family and Child Services, Kids Connect, DSHS, Southeast Community Center, Triumph Treatment Services, Ready by Five and Homeless Network of Yakima County.

Kids activities will include a jumper house and games. There will be prizes and snacks. Community agencies will participate in the second annual YNHS 3-on 3 Hula Hoop Fest at 3 p.m. The free event is sponsored by Yakima Neighborhood Health Services, with generous underwriting from United Healthcare and Regence, For more information, call 853-2357.
