The driver wanted in a hit and run crash last week that seriously injured a Yakima man turned himself into police and is now being held in the Yakima County Jail.

The 24-year-old Ranulfo Marquez walked into the Yakima police station on Saturday and admitted he was the driver that struck 53-year-old James Dale Henderson. Henderson remains in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Shortly after the crash last Wednesday at the intersection of 3rd Street and Maple police found Marquez’ vehicle but they’ve been searching for him ever since the crash. Marquez is being held on $100,000 bail.

He faces a charge of vehicular assault.
