High Security Inmates On Lockdown Inmate Stabbed

A lockdown of high security inmates has been ordered at the Yakima County Jail after an assault on Wednesday night. Officials from the Department of Corrections say an inmate was stabbed 30 times by other inmates. The wounds left the inmate with a collapsed lung. 2 inmates face assault charges as an investigation continues. The injured inmate was taken to a Yakima hospital.
