Gang members fired at a man entering a local grocery store and he fired back. It happened at about 1:00 p.m. Sunday in the 6 hundred block of South 3 Street. Authorities say the victim told them as he and a friend were walking into the store several people in the parking lot shouted gang slurs at them and fired shots at them. The 24-year-old victim was shot several times and fired back. Police say they do not know if any of the suspects were struck by return gunfire. None of the victims wounds were considered life threatening. He was treated at a local hospital. Police say the suspects were driving a black vehicle, possibly a Honda.
