Trump gets the headlines, the infighting in the party gets the headlines, the showdown looming at the convention gets the headlines and it seems everybody is watching. Maybe, just maybe they should amend their approach because amidst all that attention, a new Pew Research poll survey says more than half of people in the U.S. have an unfavorable view of the Republican Party.   Sixty-two percent of people polled said they were not impressed--the highest negative rating the party has seen since 1992. Only 33-percent of respondents said they have a favorable impression of the GOP.

The Democrats aren't exactly enjoying smooth sailing either. A new Rasmussen Reports survey says that nearly a quarter of voters say they would stay home or vote for a third-party candidate in a general election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

That poll also finds Clinton and Trump tied at 38-percent each among likely voters, in a hypothetical match-up.
