Free Health Care for Former Astria Employees

A Yakima medical clinic is reaching out to Astria Regional Hospital employees offering free medical care. Officials at Compassion Family Medicine are offering the free medical care for people who were recently laid off from the hospital. The free care is also for families of the former employees as well.
Nearly 500 workers were left without jobs or medical insurance. The free care will continue until March 31.
Displaced workers can call or walk in the clinic at 3810 Kern Road in Yakima. Workers will need to show a recent pay stub and photo ID.
