According to a study of couple's alcohol consumption, the couple that takes a sip together more enjoys the trip together!

Women are far more likely to be in high spirits if they share a drink with their mate once a week than those who are teetotalers. The survey of 1,500 married couples showed that 91 percent of moderate drinkers are in wedded bliss compared to just 54 percent of those in a marriage where one person abstains and another hits the bottle a lot.

Researchers say alcohol gets too much bad press and it is refreshing to reveal a positive example of how it is an integral part of modern culture.

Study author Jessica Meiklejohn, of New Zealand, still cautions: "The presence of heavy drinking is detrimental to happiness in the relationship, as well as being harmful in many other ways."

In most things, moderation is the key to happiness so open a  bottle of Yakima Valley wine and drink and be happier responsibly!
