What are we eating during our social distancing?  Lots of us are trying out new recipes, doing more baking and grilling as we wait out the Coronavirus lock down.  Restaurants are hurting and many will fall by the wayside.  Those that had takeout capabilities are hanging in and those that created a takeout ability are back in the game in a limited way.
But for those who box it up and send it out, what's most likely in the box? Fox News found out.
Grubhub has now revealed the most popular foods ordered through their delivery service between March 16th and April 16th. The data was calculated in comparison with the period three weeks prior, before the global outbreak of the virus was declared a national emergency.
Breakfast dishes were most in demand, and sales of following items increased most significantly: sausage, egg and cheese croissants (316%); brisket burgers (144%); sausage, egg and cheese biscuits (136%); chicken Caesar salad (125%); and donuts (112%.)
Grubhub also offered data by U.S. region. In the Northeast, deliveries for Mac and cheese increased 216 percent, while in the Midwest orders for sausage, egg, and cheese burritos increased 250 percent. In the South, deliveries for burrito bowls increased 298 percent, and in the West orders for sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits increased 205 percent.
