Fire Evaucated Inmates From Wapato Jail

A fire at the Wapato jail Saturday forced a quick evacuation of more than 60 inmates. No injuries were reported. The inmates were held in a yard near the jail until the fire was out and smoke was cleared. No word on the cause of the fire that caused only minor damage. The inmates were back in the jail under an hour after the fire was reported just before 9 Saturday morning.
