ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (AP) — If it had sold this well when it first came out, it probably wouldn't have ended up buried in a landfill. Remember those Atari video games featuring "E.T" — the one deemed so bad that the company discarded batches of them? Since they've been recovered, the games have generated more than $100,000 in sales over the last several months. The game "E.T. The Extraterrestrial," was released in 1982 — and quickly earned a reputation as the worst video game ever created. But now that they have been dug up, they have been selling on eBay and have fetched close to $108,000.
