Domestic Violence Claims Yakima’s 5th Murder Victim

Yakima Police say a 39 year old woman was beat to death in an argument with her boyfriend early this morning at an apartment in the 5 hundred block of East Walnut. Lt. Mike Merryman says officers were called to the apartment at about 4:30 this morning where they found 39 year old Felicia Brooks dead from head injuries. Brooks' 54 year old boyfriend, Richard Roberson was arrested at the scene. He's being held on a 2nd degree murder charge in the Yakima County Jail. Merryman says the couple has a history of domestic violence problems. The murder was the 5th homicide in the City of Yakima so far this year
