School is out for the Summer (thank you Alice Cooper) and it's time to store away your little scholar's papers and mementos...a drawing here, an essay there and even the ever elusive A+ test.  But as you add memories to your kid's file drawer, have you ever wondered if your student spent the year as "Teacher's Pet"?If your child is right handed – the odds are against you. A recent study says left-handed children are more likely to wind up being the teacher’s pet. The authors of the study say that’s because lefty children ages 7 to 11 tend to adapt, enjoy and even look forward to going to school about 10% more than right-handed kids.  Interesting. I loved school and I am so much a righty used to joke that I had to water my left hand just to keep it alive! But studies never lie…do they?

The study was conducted by Stabilo, a company that produces pens designed to help children improve their handwriting – including custom models for lefties.
