Dale Carpenter Tapped as Sunfair Parade Grand Marshal

The 51st annual Yakima Sunfair parade is set for Saturday in downtown Yakima and this year the Sunfair Festival Association has named Dale Carpenter as the Grand Marshal. the president of the Sunfair Parade board Joe Mann says the general manager of Yakima Theaters was chosen because festival officials say he's demonstrated a lifelong love for the greater Yakima area through his many volunteer efforts.

More than 120 entries are in the parade this year that starts at 16th and Yakima Avenue and ends at 6th street. The parade gets rolling at 10 Saturday morning.
