Construction Projects In The Yakima Valley

Construction projects are on the upswing in the Yakima valley.

The county received 59 applications for construction permits last month.that's the most for a January in years, which is typically a slow month. By comparison, there were 35 applications in January of 2009. Typically, valuation projects have averaged around $2 million in January, this year projects totaled $4.1 million.

Authorities hope this will lead to more tax revenue and jobs.
