Firefighters continue to build containment lines and work hotspots on the Cold Creek Fire burning on White Pass. Officials from the forest service say all the evacuation notices were lifted on Tuesday. The fire is now 75% contained at 564 acres. Highway 12 over White Pass opened on Monday but drivers need to watch for loose rock and rolling debris. Wet weather is arriving in the area of the fire Wednesday through Friday and that's expected to help douse the fire even further. State officials say they'll soon turn over operations to the local ranger district as they begin to transition firefighters out of the area to work on fires in California. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No homes or structures were lost in the fire and no injuries were reported.
