City Prayer Policy To Be Adopted Soon

The Yakima City Council's Rules and Procedure Committee has created a policy it believes will protect the city from lawsuits regarding prayer at council meetings. At Tuesday night’s council meeting, Mayor Micah Cawley says they believe praying before meetings instead of during the meetings is the best plan to avoid further legal threats. The council will vote on whether or not to adopt that policy at its next meeting February 15th.
