Blood Donations in 50 States

FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) — John Ball is out for blood. The 72-year-old Virginia man has now completed his longtime goal of donating blood in all 50 states. The latest came at a blood bank in Iowa. He tells the Messenger newspaper he's been donating blood since he was 17. After he donated in 20 states, he says he decided to go for all 50. And Ball isn't finished with blood donations. He says he'll be going to Canada next.
