Bears do it…birds do it…and field mice if they can reach. We’re talking picking berries! While it’s all part of the natural diet for those critters, berries could just be part of a turbo charged health regime for you!

According to new research in the journal Neurology, eating berries regularly may help protect you from Parkinson's disease. In the study, men who ate the most strawberries and blueberries, 2 or more weekly servings, were 23% less likely to develop Parkinson's later in life than those who ate the least. No need for a spoonful of medicine to help make that medicine go down…but a bowl of creamy milk and a little sugar couldn’t hurt!

Scientists theorize that berries are rich in anthocyanins, flavonoids that may trigger the production of protective brain enzymes.  Dee-licious! (Men's Health)
