The Better Business Bureau of Eastern Washington has a warning for those of you who want to help people impacted by hurricane Dorian. The scammers are searching for victims. BBB officials say as the devastation of the storm on communities in the Bahamas and East Coast becomes apparent maybe you'll be pushed to help by donating money. Art Taylor, president and CEO of BBB's Give.org says before you give any many to any organization visit Give.org to access free reports that tell you if the charity meets the 20 BBB Standards for Charity Accountability.
The BBB says thousands of people each year are victims of scams especially during times of major disaster.
