The battle to keep the Yakima Valley School in Selah open starts February first in Yakima. Members of the ARC of Yakima County or advocates for the rights of citizens with developmental disabilities have invited parents, local and state officials to the meeting at Childrens Village to talk about the impact the closure would have on patients, parents and employees. The meeting starts at 6:30 on February first. 3 State Senators have introduced a bill that calls for the closure of the school by December of 2012.
