Ballots for the February 8th election begin arriving in mailboxes in Yakima County Today. Elections Manager Kathy Fisher says 60 thousand ballots are on the way to registered voters in Yakima, East Valley, Selah and Wapato.

Yakima voters are deciding the Strong Mayor issue while voters in East Valley, Selah and Wapato are voting on school bond issues. The expected turnout is 40 percent. But Fisher says it could be higher because of the media attention on the strong mayor proposal. Ballots need to be in the Auditors office by Election Day February 8th.
