Ballot Count Continues From Tuesday Primary Election

The ballot count continues in the Yakima County Auditors office after Tuesday's primary election. on Wednesday 820 ballots were counted and no major changes were made in races. Thursday the office received 705 ballots late in the day. The ballot count is being watched closely in the city of Yakima Districts 2,3 and 5. In District 3, the race is now lead by Carmen Mendez after she gained four votes over the previous vote leader Kelly Rosenow. Both will advance to the general election. Another count is expected Today. The election will be certified on August 18.
