Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice is hoping dental records will help determine the identity of a body found in an old freezer in the Toppenish area earlier on July 9.

Curtice says a Forensic Pathologist examined the remains Tuesday and couldn't determine the gender of the body. As a result Curtice says they're hoping to learn more through dental records and or DNA.
The death is being investigated as a homicide by the Yakima County Sheriff's office and the Yakama Nation Police.
