Attempted Rape Suspect Turns Self In

Sunnyside police are no longer searching for a Yakima man in connection with an attempted rape of a 64 year old woman in the Sunnyside area on March 4th. Police say Armando Cortez Lopez of Yakima turned himself into police Monday. Police say he tried to rape the woman in the area of South 6th street and Edison in Sunnyside. He's being held in the Yakima County Jail.
