A 21-year-old man is facing a robbery charge after police say he stole a shotgun from a local gun store on Saturday.

THE ROBBERY HAPPENED JUST BEFORE NOON ON SATURDAY

Yakima Police say the 21-year-old suspect, identified as Cregan Antonson walked into T&T Shooters Supply on north 6th Avenue just before 12:00 pm on Saturday and asked to purchase a 12-gauge shotgun. The employee then pulled a shotgun, valued at $300 from the store gun rack and handed it to Antonson. Police say that's when the suspect told the employee, "sorry boss but I forgot my money."

THE SUSPECT HAD A SHOTGUN SHELL IN HIS PANTS POCKET

Police say he then pulled out a shotgun shell from his pants pocket and loaded it into the shotgun. Authorities say the employee immediately grabbed his gun and told the suspect "don't do it, drop the gun." Police say Antonson suddenly placed the barrel of the shotgun under his chin before running out the front door and fleeing the area in a vehicle but left his identification at the store.
