Kelly Gnieiting just became the heaviest man to complete a marathon over the weekend. Just over 26 miles and he did it at 9 hours, 48 minutes and 42 seconds. Guinness had the previous record at 275 pounds as Kelly Gnieting clocking in at just under 400 (396.2) pounds. This story is making headlines around the country. I think it's especially cool because I know him, personally.

He even beat his previous marathon time by 2 hours. He told a local newspaper “I’d like to see the Kenyan improve his marathon time by two hours.”

We both used to live in Idaho as I'd M.C. the local American Sumo events that would happen. He's a great, great guy. In fact, the first time I met him he was looking for a new home for an abandon puppy, standing out in front of a local grocery store.
