Ready to Run? The First Ever Yakima Half Marathon This Weekend!
The US Running Association Makes Its Way to the Northwest with the first ever Yakima Half Marathon
What's not to like about a run around yakima? Our great climate and beautiful scenic landscape has caught the attention of the national running communtiy. This Sunday, July 24th, the United States Running Association will present the first ever Yakima Half Marathon.The 13.1 mile course begins and ends at the Convention Center. The event kicks off at 8:00 am, featuring a course around the Terrace Heights area. A Post-Race Party including refreshments, a live band, post-race awards, and so much more. The Half Marathon will cost you more than a half benjamin...but the $70 registration fee includes a t-shirt, goodie bags, refreshments and finisher medals. If the distance of this event seems a little too long, the USRA will also be hosting a 5K Run/Walk at 8:15 am and a one-mile Fun Run at 9:45 am. The 5K Run/Walk is $30 and includes the registration fees, a commemorative T-Shirt, goodie bags, and refreshments.
