A Camp For Families With Special Kids Says Thank You
Thanks to the community a recent fundraiser for Yakima's Camp Prime Time was a big success.
Prime Time officials say they're confident they'll meet their goal
Camp Prime Time is a place for families and kids with special needs. It allows families to have fun at a summer camp while being able to relax in a supportive setting.
Because of COVID-19 concerns Camp Prime Time held a first time ever online auction and they're still receiving funds in the mail even though the auction is over. So far more than $325,000 has been raised with a goal of reaching $350,000.
Other chances for you to help this holiday season
Another big fundraiser for Camp Prime Time happens on Thanksgiving. The Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk will be held on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on the Yakima Greenway. You can sign up at yakimagreenway.org. The event is a big fundraiser for Camp Prime Time and also the Yakima Greenway. You're encouraged to bring your family and get involved in the costume contest.
Chip that tree after the holidays and make a donation
Then next month don't forget the Camp Prime Time chipping program for Christmas Trees.
