Toppenish Police were called to the 200 block of Pearne Street at about 5:00 am Thursday. When Officers arrived they found a 13-year-old male, 18-year-old female, 21-year-old female and 19-year-old male dead from gunshot wounds. A fifth person, a 21-year-old man, was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Police say the 19-year-old shooter took his own life. No names have been released.
The investigation continues Today.

Toppenish Police are investigating a fatal shooting reported early Thursday in the 200 block of Pearne Street. Reports are that 4 people were shot and killed which included the shooter. Officers were called to the area at about 5:00 am Thursday.

Toppenish Police haven't released information but the Yakima County Sheriff’s spokesperson Casey Schilperoort says multiple people were shot in the incident that could be gang related. He says Toppenish Police are handling the investigation.

TOPPENISH POLICE ARE ALSO BUSY WITH TWO OTHER HOMICIDES

Meanwhile a homicide investigation continues as police look for clues after a 28-year-old man was killed on a Toppenish street on October 1. Authorities have identified the victim as 28-year-old Mario Cervantes. Toppenish police were called to the area of Second Avenue and South Division Street where they found Cervantes dead. No word on whether the shooting was gang related. No arrests have been made. Police say they believe the man was targeted in the attack.

ANOTHER HOMICIDE REPORTED IN LATE SEPTEMBER

Yakima County Sheriff's Detectives continue looking for a suspect or suspects in the homicide reported near Granger on September 28. Deputies were first called to a rollover crash in the area of Church Road and SR 223 but while on their way to the crash Deputies were notified of a gunshot victim in the 100 block of Schuster Road.

THE VICTIM HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED

When Deputies arrived they found both calls were related. The Deputies found a vehicle submerged upside down in a canal with the driver still inside the vehicle. During the investigation Detectives learned from the victims family members that the 19-year-old driver, identified as Anthony Govanny Mendoza-Salazar from Granger was shot while driving in the area and later crashed the vehicle into the canal.
No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
