Fourth district congressman Doc Hastings announced today that he will vote for a budget agreement announced this  week. The budget was worked out between Democratic Senator Patty Murray and Republican Congressman Paul Ryan from Wisconsin. Some conservatives have blasted the plan saying it does not go far enough to cut federal spending. Hastings admits that the budget isn't perfect "There's no tax increases whatsoever in this bill, and we have to deal with mandatory or entitlement spending, and there is a modest attempt at doing that in this bill."

Critics of the plan say while it doesn't increase taxes, it does increase fees. Prominent conservative organizations warned that lawmakers were simply trading increased spending now for "promises" of cuts sometime in the future.
A vote is expected Thursday evening.
