Firefighters call it a perfect storm. A dry, warm February day mixed with gusty winds. For dozens of folks in White Swan the result was tragic. An investigation is now underway to see if Saturday's fire actually started inside a house near the town of White Swan. Whatever the case, firefighters say it was the start of a perfect storm. Meanwhile, firefighters now say the number of homes considered a "total" loss stands at 18. Crews are still counting other damaged structures. The fire victims are getting a lot of help. the American Red Cross is taking cash donations only at it's Yakima office at 302 South 2nd Street. The Wapato Wolves varsity boys and girls basketball teams are holding a spaghetti feed and mini concert fundraiser in the Wapato High School cafeteria from 5:30 to 8 tonight. The cost is a donation in the form of cash, clothes, blankets, pillows and hygiene items.
