Pacific Power is once again helping the people in Yakima pay for their utility bills through their Project Help 2-for-1.
For every $1 donated to Project Help Pacific Power will match it with $2. Project Help 2-for-1 is part of a partnership with the Northwest Community Action center in Toppenish and the Salvation Army's in Yakima and Walla Walla. Every year the program helps more than 500 low income households helping to pay their utility bills.
Pacific Power will be collecting donations by including an envelope in customers paper utility bills. Anyone who pays their bills online can request a contribution envelope.

Project Help, is administered by the Salvation Army in the Walla Walla, Yakima and Grandview areas, and Northwest Community Action Center in the Toppenish and Sunnyside areas.
They verify eligibility and allocate funds to those in need. all funds donated are used to assist families in need from the same county in which the donor lives.
