Yakima Transit’s Route 1 will be unable to use some stops this week (Monday, May 21st to Friday, May 25th) due to construction.

The impacted stops are behind Chase Bank at 6550 W. Nob Hill Boulevard, in front of Walmart at 6600 W. Nob Hill Boulevard, as well as eastbound and westbound stops at 70th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard.

Passengers are asked to instead use the stop at 72nd Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard (in front of West Valley Church of the Nazarene). Or they can take Route 5 at 64th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard to the Route 1 stop in front of the church.

Another option is taking Route 2 eastbound on Nob Hill Boulevard.

In addition to these temporary stop changes, Yakima Transit has also announced a permanent change for the Yakima-Ellensburg Commuter. The Commuter will no longer stop at Super 1 in Ellensburg. That stop has been relocated to the corner of Umptanum Road and Ruby Street, in front of the Golden Dragon restaurant at 1302 S. Ruby Street.
