The Union Gospel Mission’s “Un-Gala” Fundraiser Discussed on the Mike Bastinelli Show [AUDIO]

Yakima's Union Gospel Mission has been serving the homeless, the indigent and less fortunate for decades. The mission relies largely on community donations for it's funding, getting no tax dollars.

This year, the Mission is having a unique fundraiser called "The Un-Gala". Instead of having a big, expensive event, they are asking people to donate what they would spend on attending such an event to the mission.

Sarah Holtzinger, Union Gospel Mission Development Director,  board member Denard Jones, and Shane Pieroni were guests on Monday's Mike Bastinelli show. They talked about how the idea for the "non event" came about, and what they hope to accomplish.
