Seahawks Trade for Raiders’ Quarterback
The Seattle Seahawks traded a 2014 seventh-round draft pick to the Oakland Raiders for quarterback Terrelle Pryor on Monday..
Seahawks Insider Clair Farnsworth wrote Monday at seahawks.com:
Pryor, who will turn 25 in June, was a third-round selection in the 2011 supplemental draft by the Raiders after leaving Ohio State early when it was ruled by the NCAA that he would be suspended for the first five games of the 2011 college season for his part in the selling of memorabilia.
The 6-foot-4, 233-pound Pryor played sparingly in his first two seasons with the Raiders, playing in one game in 2011 and starting one of the three games he played in during 2012.
ESPN’s Terry Blount says the trade make sense:
This is what the Seahawks do, bring in talented athletes and find a place for them where they can help the team and excel as individuals. Maybe that’s still at quarterback for Pryor, maybe it’s elsewhere. For Seattle, it certainly is worth the cost of a seventh-round pick.
