Rookie Russell Wilson will run the first team offense in a game situation Friday night as the Seahawks take on Kansas City.

Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times reported today that the rookie from Wisconsin will get the start against the Chiefs Friday night.

O'Neil wrote :

The quarterbacks were told of the decision on Monday during their positional meetings, and word of the decision then began to filter out. The team began practice Tuesday morning before any official announcement was made as coach Pete Carroll typically answers questions after practice.

He has played well in the second half of the past two exhibition games, throwing for three touchdowns and rushing for another.

You can hear Friday's game on AM 1280 and FM 99.3 Newstalk KIT, with the broadcast starting at 3pm.
