Defensive back Terrell Thomas and offensive tackle Eric Winston will not only provide the team with training camp depth, but will also be given the chance to compete for roster spots.

Thomas is a six-foot, 202 pound six-year veteran who played for Seahawks' coach Pete Carroll at USC. He was a second round pick of the New York Giants in 2008, sat out 2011 and 2012 with injuries, but played in all 16 games for the Giants in 2014.

Winston started all 16 games last season for the Arizona Cardinals. The eight-year veteran began his career with the Houston Texans, and played with Kansas City in 2012. He has been a starter in every game he's played since 2007.  Winston will join the competition at right tackle with rookie Justin Britt and second-year pro Michael Bowie, who has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since Friday's practice. He's also president of the NFL Player's association.
