The Seattle Seahawks got down to their 53 man roster on Saturday, with one very popular veteran among those released.

Fullback Michael Robinson was the most notable name on the list released by the team.  Quarterback Brady Quinn was also released, with Tavaris Jackson taking the spot as Russell Wilson's backup. Defensive tackle Clinton McDonald was released and cornerback Antoine Winfield announced his retirement.

In addition to these veterans, the following players were put on waivers:

The Seahawks also announced the trade of an undisclosed future draft choice to the Jacksonville Jaguars for defensive lineman D'Anthony Smith.

Defensive end Chris Clemons, coming back from a knee injury, was kept on the 53 player active roster.
