At his Wednesday press conference, Pete Carroll said that Seattle could see center Max Unger return this week against the Raiders.

Carroll said that Unger returned to practice Wednesday after missing three games with an injured foot, but would have to see how Unger holds up at practice before deciding if he'll play Sunday.

The coach said that tight end Zach Miller, recovering from ankle surgery, was feeling "better than he had in weeks" but would not see action this week.

Linebacker Bobby Wagner remains out with a toe injury.

Cornerback Byron Maxwell remains "day-to-day" with an injured calf.

Safety Jeron Johnson, who suffered a concussion in the game against Carolina, has not cleared the NFL's mandatory concussion protocol and has not practiced this week. Wide receiver Brian Walters resumed practice after sitting out the Panthers game with a concussion.

Linebacker Malcolm Smith, who had a groin injury at Carolina last week, could be back this week.

Offensive lineman James Carpenter "was feeling OK" after injuring his back against the Panthers.
