The three way quarterback competition continues at Seahawks training camp, and coach Pete Carroll likes what he sees so far from returning starter Tavaris Jackson.

The quarterback competition continues among free agent signee  Matt Flynn, incumbent Tarvaris Jackson and  rookie Russell Wilson. The three of them spent the past four days at  camp in Renton splitting their reps, as the coaches get a grasp of each of their abilities.

Flynn and Wilson are getting good reviews, but coach Pete Carroll likes what he sees so far from Jackson.

“Last time we were together he was coming off of a terrible injury, and has shown great courage and toughness and all that, but he hadn’t been right. So we needed to get him back out here and see what he looks like,” Carroll said.

“What’s so exciting is he’s quicker, he’s niftier than he’s been, and he’s in great shape. He came in to win this job, as did both the other guys, too. I’m getting a feel for where he is. So that’s important, and we will weigh that into the whole discussion as we go further.”

Players have the day off on Wednesday, and get back to work on Thursday.
