Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll says several starters remain out of action, but some of the players who were hurt for the game last week against the Rams should return to the field Sunday at Carolina.

When he addressed the media at his weekly press conference Wednesday, Carroll said starters Zach Miller, Max Unger, Derrick Coleman and Bobby Wagner will likely not return this week against the Panthers. Miller continues to recover from ankle surgery, Unger is out with a foot injury, Wagner is nursing a turf toe and Coleman is out with a broken foot that happened in pregame warmups last week in St. Louis.

Carroll did say that tight end Luke Willson and cornerback Tharold Simon, who sat out last week's game, would practice Wednesday. Cornerback Byron Maxwell, who injured a calf against the Cowboys, didn't practice Wednesday but could see game action on Sunday.
