Retail Expert Helps Set Course for Downtown Yakima

International retail expert Ian Thomas visited Yakima today to help put a start the process of putting a plan together to resurrect the downtown core.  He has worked all over the country and around the world…47 countries in fact!  His reputation and experience are truly world class. 

His presentation to City Council was exciting and inspiring. Obviously, there is much work to be done but his visit kicked off a process that could change the face of downtown Yakima forever.  It starts with a plan and vision at the December 4 council meeting.  Get involved, share your thoughts, be part of future of our city!
