Two blocks of Occidental Road in the West Valley area will be closed most of Monday and Tuesday as crews repair and repave the road.

The work will take place between 68th and 70th Avenues from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

This closure is in addition to city-wide grind and overlay work to different areas around the city. This week will see 15 overnight road closures in addition to daily lane closures.

The following roads will be closed from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on the designated days.

  • 40th Avenue between Fruitvale Boulevard and Summitview Avenue – July 7th to July 9th
  • Lincoln Avenue between 24th Avenue and 32nd Avenue – July 9th
  • 24th Avenue between Washington Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard – July 8th
  • Nob Hill Boulevard between 32nd Avenue and 40th Avenue – July 7th and July 8th
  • 16th Avenue between Nob Hill Boulevard and Englewood Avenue – July 10th and July 11th
  • Yakima Avenue between 12th Avenue and 16th Avenue – July 9th and July 10th
  • Tieton Drive between 16th Avenue and Voltaire (33rd Ave) – July 7th to July 10th
  • 19th Avenue between Tieton Drive and Chestnut Avenue – July 7th to July 10th
  • Tieton Drive between 40th Avenue and 48th Avenue – July 7th to July 9th
  • 4th Avenue between Tieton Drive and Walnut Avenue and between Yakima Avenue and D Street – July 7th and July 8th
  • 5th Avenue between Walnut Avenue and Yakima Avenue – July 9th and July 10th
  • 6th Street between Pacific Avenue and H Street – July 9th and July 10th
  • Walnut Avenue between 1st Street and 7th Avenue – July 9th and July 10th
  • 3rd Avenue between Walnut Avenue and D Street – July 7th and July 8th
  • Summitview Avenue between Yakima Avenue and 16th Avenue – July 10th and July 11th

There will also be a few roads that see lane closures from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. all week.

  • Lincoln Avenue between 24th Avenue and 32nd Avenue
  • Tieton Drive between 40th Avenue and 48th Avenue
  • West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between 1st Avenue and Pierce Avenue
  • 6th Street between Yakima Avenue and H Street
